• Congratulations to senior Sharon Kardasz, who was recently honored for her accomplishments in STEM-related studies at the 11th Annual STEM Celebration Breakfast, hosted by EDC Business & Community Partners of Greater St. Charles. The breakfast was held at Piazza Messina in Cottleville, where high school students from 18 county schools earned awards for their work in STEM-related areas. Dr. Cain and Dr. Margie VanDeven, Missouri Commissioner of Education, both spoke about the importance of engaging students at a young age to develop STEM-related skills. STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) is a national and regional effort to better prepare the workforce of tomorrow by encouraging today’s students to engage in studies, events and careers involving science, technology, engineering and math.
