To form a community where minority students can get together and discuss topics pertaining to them, alongside the majority of students. Also to help educate all students on the black experience and how they can change the world we live in for the benefit of everyone; not just the majority. This club will allow students the opportunity to develop facilitation skills and organize activities to engage the student body in learning more about those oppressed or targeted.

The intent of Captain’s Council is to have a process in developing leaders within our athletic programs and allow student-athletes to grow in their leadership skills here in the Timberland Community. Student athletes will better their leadership skills, develop positive characteristics and confidence, and prepare themselves for after high school; both as athletes and in life.
