Congrats to Timberland’s FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) team of Jeric Sutterfield, Jessica Ramos, Jackie Ramos, and Abby Wheeler at the 74th annual Missouri FCCLA State Leadership Conference, March 12-14, at Tan-Tar-A Resort in Osage Beach. More than 1,400 middle and high school students from across the state attended the student leader-planned conference, which featured speakers, workshops and competitions for FCCLA members.
Abby Wheeler made her debut as Region 4's secretary and later secured a gold medal in Food Innovations. Jessica and Jackie Ramos earned a gold in Focus on Children and Jeric Sutterfield received a bronze placement in the Culinary Arts category. Members will have the chance to attend the National Leadership Conference held in Denver, CO from July 2nd-6th.
FCCLA is a national student organization that promotes personal growth and leadership development through family and consumer sciences education. The Missouri association ranks fifth in the nation in membership with more than 9,800 members from 320 FCCLA chapters across the state.
