• Timberland students in Patricia Nelson’s On Campus Work Experience class are learning how to effectively manage a small business to the delight of staff members looking for a morning pick-me-up delivered directly to their classroom. They are participating in Timberland’s “Wake-UP Wagon” – a project based learning experience designed to teach and practice life skills under the supervision of Mrs. Nelson and Instructional Assistant Sherry Miller. “Students are learning hands-on skills like filling orders and making change, as well as social and life skills interacting with customers and members of the team,” said Miller. “It’s great to see how excited they are to come to class and how accomplished they feel once they fill and deliver all the orders.”
