WSD Students Selected to Attend American Legion Auxiliary Girls State

Three Wentzville School District juniors have been selected to attend the American Legion Auxiliary Girls State of Missouri. One student was chosen from each WSD high school; Hanna Flacke (Holt), Sanjana Anand (Liberty), and Nora Pryor (Timberland).

Missouri Girls State delegates are selected based on their leadership abilities, interest in government, service to others, and academics. The 2021 session of Missouri Girls State is scheduled to be held on the campus of the University of Central Missouri (UCM) in Warrensburg June 20-26. The American Legion Auxiliary Girls State program was founded in 1940 at William Woods College in Fulton, Missouri. The program is designed to changes lives by bringing together dynamic young women for an intense week of learning focused on developing leadership skills, responsible citizenship, patriotism, and a sense of community. This year’s program is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 323 of Wentzville.
