Wentzville has a magnificently diverse population of families who speak more than 40 languages. The ELL program is to assist any eligible student reach grade-level academic language proficiency. EL determination is based on Missouri state criteria.

Elementary Program (K-5)
Students spend much of their time immersed in the classroom with leveled support based on the student's language needs.
Methods of Support Include:

Pull-Out services-Small group instruction with ELL teacher.

Push-In services-ELL teacher assists in the child's classroom.

Co-Teaching-ELL teacher teaches alongside the classroom teacher.
Consultation-ELL teacher provides modifications and ensures all learning needs are met for each ELL student.

Middle School Program (6-8)
In the middle school setting, students spend much of their time immersed in the classroom with leveled support based on the student's language needs.

Daily ESOL classes

ELL support with core classes

High School Program (9-12)
Timberland High School
In the high school setting, EL students receive a center- based approach. Each student will get a more robust ELL experience. The ELL center is located at Timberland High School. Transportation is provided for all students from 9th-12th grade in the ELL Program throughout the district.
