LHS Theatre Presents Footloose: The Musical
The Liberty High School Theatre Department will present Dean Pitchford’s “Footloose: The Musical” on November 15, 16, and 17. This musical will be performed by an all-school cast and crew each evening, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
When Ren McCormack (Wesley Nichols) and his mother Ethel (Grace Pickering) move to Chicago from a small farming town, he finds himself at odds with most of the town, including Reverend Shaw Moore (Cameron Jones), who has convinced the town to outlaw dancing. After Reverend Moore’s rebellious daughter Ariel (Emily Gann) sets her heart on Ren, her boyfriend Chuck Cranston (Braden McMakin) tries to sabotage Ren’s reputation. With the help of Ariel and Willard Hewitt (Christian Tebeau), Ren convinces Reverend Moore to let the teenagers dance.

The musical is under the stage management of Cat Frank, Drew Goodman, and Evan Mantz, and Marlee Doniff is the dance captain. The performances will be held in the Liberty High School Performing Arts Center. Admission is $6.00 for adults and $5.00 for students, and tickets will be available at the door.
