Public Comment

  • We appreciate your interest in speaking during the public comment period at the Wentzville School District Board of Education meeting. Our public comment period is held at the beginning of every regularly scheduled Board meeting. The public comment period generally allows for up to 10 participants, each speaking for a maximum of 3 minutes, within a total time allocation of 30 minutes. During this time, all participants must adhere to Board Policy 0412 (link to policy).

    Student Public Comment Period:

As part of the Public Comment Period, a specific portion is allocated for student speakers. Up to two students may sign up to speak during the Student Public Comment Period, each for a duration of three minutes. If two students sign up, the total Public Comment Period will be extended to a maximum of 36 minutes, allowing for 12 speakers in total. Students also have the option to sign up for one of the 10 non-student-exclusive Public Comment Period speaker spots.

    How to Sign Up:

Any person, including a student, who wishes to speak during the Board of Education’s Public Comment Period must complete the electronic Public Comment Request Form.

The electronic sign-up sheet for the Public Comment Period will be available directly on this website starting 24 hours before the meeting and will close 30 minutes before the start of the open session.

If you sign up after the available slots have been filled, you will be added to the waitlist. All electronic Public Comment Request Forms will be automatically timestamped, and the Board President will call speakers forward in the order they signed up.

For patrons who do not have internet access, you may sign up under the same guidelines and restrictions at the Administration Center (280 Interstate Drive) or at the location of the board meeting. Access to sign up will be granted at the Administration Center during normal business hours, no more than 24 hours prior to the beginning of the open session. If completing the electronic sign-up at the location of the board meeting, a device will be available one hour prior to open session.
