WSD Transportation Earns Perfect Inspection

April 16, 2025

The Wentzville School District Transportation Department bus fleet underwent its annual inspection by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on March 24-25 and achieved an outstanding approval rating of 100%.

The WSD Transportation fleet, consisting of 183 buses, was meticulously examined by the Missouri State Highway Patrol as part of their annual state performance inspection. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our Fleet Manager Dan Duncan and his team of skilled mechanics, all 183 buses successfully passed their initial inspection, earning a perfect score of 100%.

The Transportation Department takes immense pride in ensuring the safe transportation of all our students to and from school each day. During the 2024-2025 school year, WSD buses are projected to travel approximately 1.8 million miles, safely transporting over 13,000 children twice daily. This outstanding rating emphasizes their commitment to this essential operation in the WSD.

Kim Boix, the Director of Transportation, remarked, "Maintaining a fleet of this size is a challenging task, and our Fleet Manager Dan Duncan, along with his team of mechanics, does an outstanding job throughout the year to keep our buses safe and operational."

We extend our sincere congratulations to Dan and his team for their unwavering hard work in maintaining our fleet to such high standards. Furthermore, we express our gratitude to the 25 drivers who generously volunteered their time during Spring Break to assist on inspection day, as well as to our dedicated office staff for their crucial support in ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
