WSD Names Melrick Bogier Assistant Principal of Heritage Elementary

Jan. 19, 2024

The Wentzville School District Board of Education approved the hire of Melrick Bogier as an assistant principal for Heritage Elementary, effective July 1, 2024.

Bogier comes to the WSD from St. Louis Public Schools where he has worked as a fourth grade teacher, music teacher, math curriculum specialist, and mentor teacher leader.

“Being an educator and champion for students is what I strive to do every day,” said Bogier. “Becoming a part of the WSD will allow me to continue doing what I love to do in a district that is growing and moving forward. The District's mission, vision, goals, and values all resonate with me and, for that reason, I am ecstatic to become a part of it.”

He holds a Master of Science Degree in educational leadership from Northwest Missouri State, a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Central Methodist University, and an Associate of Arts from Jefferson College.

Previously, the Heritage building has operated as two schools — Heritage Primary (K-2) and Heritage Intermediate (3-5). Starting next school year, the Heritage campus will no longer function as two separate schools.
