The process of accrediting school districts is mandated by state law and by State Board of Education regulation. MSIP 5 is the state’s school accountability system for reviewing and accrediting public school districts in Missouri. MSIP began in 1990 and is preparing to enter its sixth version. Each district must maintain and implement a comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
The CSIP is evaluated annually and progress reports are presented to the Board of Education. The evaluation includes a review of the action steps noting which are complete and which need to be adjusted. The CSIP is evaluated against the data points established.
