• Pearce Hall Boxing Gym

    The Pearce Hall Boxing Gym is facilitated by Jose Jones, a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor, Certified School Counselor, and retired professional boxer. The goal of the boxing group is to help students increase social interactions, team building, communication, self-esteem, self-motivation, self-confidence, self-control, and coordination. This non-contact alternative therapy program can also help students to reduce depression, anger, stress, and anxiety through a strength-based practice that emphasizes self-determination. It focuses on helping students view themselves as resourceful and resilient in the face of adversity.
