The Board of Education approved the hire of Katie Will as an assistant principal for Heritage Elementary, effective July 1, 2024. 

Will is currently a first-grade teacher at Blackhurst Elementary School in the City of St. Charles School District. She has also taught second, third, and fourth grade. 

“I’m thrilled to expand my journey in education,” said Will. “Working with students has been my life’s passion. I can’t wait to learn from WSD and grow with them. I consider it the utmost privilege to be able to work alongside the administration, teachers, students, and families of Heritage Elementary.”

She holds a Master of Arts degree in elementary administration and a Master of Arts degree in elementary education from Lindenwood University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Lindenwood University. 

Previously, the Heritage building has operated as two schools — Heritage Primary (K-2) and Heritage Intermediate (3-5). Starting next school year, the Heritage campus will no longer function as two separate schools.
