Dr. Jacob (Jake) Adams, athletic director at North Point High School, was awarded the 2024 St. Louis District Rodger Estes Newcomer of the Year Award by the Missouri Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (MIAAA). 

The criteria for this award include being a second or third-year athletic director who has demonstrated leadership qualities, outstanding work ethic, and good communication skills. 

The award is named after Rodger Estes, a former MIAAA president and one of only two Missouri athletic directors to serve as the NIAAA president. Rodger emphasized the importance of assisting new athletic directors in the association and spent time mentoring new athletic directors.
