WSD Becomes Registered Apprenticeship Sponsor

Jan. 30, 2024

The Wentzville School District is officially recognized as a U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) Registered Apprenticeship Program Sponsor. The WSD and the Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council teamed up to create real-world learning experiences for our students.

Qualified students can apply for the apprenticeship program, earning competitive wages while working in carpentry with local businesses alongside their WSD Industrial Technology curriculum.

"We are excited to offer this apprenticeship opportunity with the Carpenter's Council, igniting the passion for craftsmanship in our WSD learners as they build a foundation for a fulfilling future of success," said Julie Durham, WSD success ready programming content lead.

Keep an eye out for more information and application details coming soon. Learn more about the WSD apprenticeship opportunity and pathways programming in the High School Course Guide section of the WSD website.
