WSD Names Valerie Sutton Assistant Principal of Heritage Elementary
Jan. 19, 2024
The Wentzville School District Board of Education approved the hire of Valerie Sutton as an assistant principal for Heritage Elementary, effective July 1, 2024.
Sutton is currently a second-grade teacher at Heritage Primary, and she also brings experience from the St. Charles City School District where she taught and worked as an instructional coach.
“I am excited to continue my journey at Heritage in my new role,” said Sutton. “Heritage is an amazing place to be, and I am thankful to be a part of it. I am honored to be able to work with the amazing staff and students that are at Heritage. I look forward to working with families and the community to help support student growth.”
She holds a master’s degree in educational theory and practice from Arkansas State University, an Educational Specialist degree in administration from Arkansas State University, and a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Previously, the Heritage building has operated as two schools — Heritage Primary (K-2) and Heritage Intermediate (3-5). Starting next school year, the Heritage campus will no longer function as two separate schools.
