We still have many juniors who need to provide proof of their MCV vaccine prior to starting 12th grade in August.
*If your student has already received his/her shot for their senior year please fax or email an up-to-date record to the nurse’s office as soon as possible. This will ensure a much smoother transition into the new school year. If you are not sure if your student is up-to-date, please call their doctor.*
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has mandated that the Meningococcal Conjugate Vaccine (MCV4) will be required for all 12th-grade students. All students starting 12th grade shall have two doses of MCV, unless the first dose was administered to a student who was 16 years of age or older, in which case only one dose shall be required. You may request a copy of your child’s immunization record by contacting the school nurse office.
Your child’s medical provider can provide more information concerning the vaccine and requirements.
*** 11TH GRADERS ATTENDING SUMMER SCHOOL MUST HAVE THIS IMMUNIZATION DOCUMENTATION TURNED INTO THE NURSE’S OFFICE BY FRIDAY MAY 24TH, 2019.
Students not attending summer school please provide proof of immunizations by August 1, 2019 to your student’s school nurse. This will allow ample time for the nurses to check compliance of each student’s immunization records. Students who do not have immunization proof prior to the first day of school will not be allowed to start the new school year until proof of vaccination is received.
Thank you for your attention to this important issue. Please contact the school nurse if you
have any questions regarding this vaccine requirement.
