The Wentzville R-IV School District is located in Saint Charles County, one of the fastest growing counties in the nation and the fastest growing area in Missouri. The county boasts a good blend of commercial, industrial and residential growth. The Wentzville School District is geographically located in the western part of the county or 40 miles west of downtown St. Louis.
The District is home to corporate offices and industries such as General Motors (sole producer of GM's full-size van), MasterCard Worldwide, and CenturyLink Telephone Operations. The District serves an 89-square mile area including all or part of Dardenne Prairie, Foristell, Lake Saint Louis, O'Fallon and Wentzville.
Fastest Growing School District in Missouri
Preliminary 2017 numbers from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education confirm that the Wentzville School District is still the fastest growing school district in the state. From September 2015 through September 2016, the WSD added 648 new students - the largest enrollment increase of any other Missouri school district. Additionally, Discovery Ridge Elementary is the largest K-5 elementary school in the state with an official enrollment of 1070 (the school currently has 1084) and Boone Trail Elementary is the third largest K-5 elementary school in the state with an official enrollment of 970 (they are currently at 980). Wentzville Middle and South Middle are the second and third largest 6-8 middle schools in the state as well. Our two new schools can't open soon enough! #WSDgrows
