Leaders in the WSD recently met for a Board of Education work session to discuss three important topics: the condition of school buildings, how to fund needed improvements, and how students are spread across schools throughout the District.

The District’s goal is to ensure that schools have sufficient space for all students, utilize every building effectively, create more efficient bus routes, and reduce travel times for students.

The WSD Board of Education approved hiring Linda Bagby as the assistant director of maintenance. Bagby has served the WSD as the administrative assistant in the Maintenance Department for 14 years. 

As the school year wound down and students headed into summer break, the Wentzville School District’s facilities team ramped up for another season of transformation. From large-scale mechanical upgrades to restoration projects, crews worked tirelessly to ensure our schools are safe, efficient, and welcoming for the start of the 2025–26 school year.

The Board of Education voted unanimously to place Prop L on the April 8 ballot. If passed, Prop L would address key facility needs across the WSD.
