    Pearce Hall Boxing Gym

  • The Pearce Hall Boxing Gym is facilitated by Jose Jones who is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a National Board Certified Counselor, a Certified School Counselor and a retired professional boxer. The goal of the boxing group is to help students increase social interactions, team building, communication, self-esteem, self-motivation, self-confidence, self-control, and coordination. This non-contact alternative therapy program can also help students to reduce depression, anger, stress, and anxiety through a strength based practice that emphasizes self-determination. It focuses on helping students view themselves as resourceful and resilient in the face of adversity.
