St. Charles County CAPS Program Information Nights

Two years ago the WSD launched "Ignite" - a valuable hands-on learning experience for high school juniors and seniors designed to give our students real-world experiences in a variety of fields with mentors who guide them and provide professional problem-solving and networking opportunities. This year, that initiative expanded as the District helped launch the St. Charles County Center for Advanced Professional Studies (CAPS) consortium with our neighboring school districts. This opened up additional opportunities for WSD students. St. Charles County CAPS students are immersed in professional environments engaging in a curriculum developed by industry professionals and program instructors - ensuring that what is taught in the classroom is relevant to the workforce. Learning is enhanced by project work direct from industry partners who engage to mentor students and ensure timely, accurate and real project results. St. Charles County CAPS is hosting three informational meetings for students and parents about the innovative program.
